hALLANDALE BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Hallandale Beach Police Department in partnership with the Broward County School District and Broward Community College have a progam called the Criminal Justice Career Program. This program is offered at the Hallandale High School, and is available to students interested in pursuing a career in police, courts or corrections. The curriculum is a solid base of knowledge for students who intend to enroll in a college or university with aspirations of a career in federal, state or local law enforcement. The program began in August 2006 and is designed to assist the police department with recruiting. Students who complete the three year program become certified public safety aides (PSA).
