Introduction to Florida
Law Enforcement Accreditation

"Accreditation Manager Training"
This training is a basic course offered to newly assigned accreditation managers from accredited agencies or agencies pursuing initial accreditation, to others assigned to work directly with the accreditation manager on more than an occasional basis, and to members of agencies that are considering pursuing accreditation.  This workshop gives a broad overview of all aspects of the accreditation processes.  It includes standard interpretation discussions, policy development discussions, file building exercises, and an accreditation software demonstration.  Attendees are also provided a comprehensive accreditation manager’s manual.  Personnel who attend this training will get a good grasp of the Accreditation Manager’s duties and responsibilities, and the tools to perform an initial agency self-assessment and achieve initial accreditation.  (16-hour course)  The cost for this workshop is only $125 per person.

"New Assessor Orientation" is designed for members desiring to serve as Pretrial accreditation assessors. People who attend this training MUST complete an Assessor application prior to attending the class. The application can be downloaded by following the link below. Once completed, it should be faxed to the Florida Accreidtation Office (407)275-4174. This workshop covers: Commission philosophy, pre-on site activities, on-site format, standard interpretation, non-applicable standards, final reporting, and assessor tools software. (16-hour course). This course is a requirement for all new Pretrial accreditation assessors and there is no fee charged!
