When it comes to
accreditation training, deciding which classes will be most beneficial to you
depends on your responsibilities and how far along your agency/facility is in
the process. Therefore, the following course descriptions are provided as
guidelines to help determine which course is best suited for you.
"Accreditation Manager Training " This training is a basic course offered to newly assigned accreditation managers from accredited agencies or agencies pursuing initial accreditation, to others assigned to work directly with the accreditation manager on more than an occasional basis, and to members of agencies that are considering pursuing accreditation. This workshop gives a broad overview of all aspects of the accreditation processes. It includes standard interpretation discussions, policy development discussions, file building exercises, and an accreditation software demonstration. Attendees are also provided a comprehensive accreditation manager’s manual. Personnel who attend this training will get a good grasp of the Accreditation Manager’s duties and responsibilities, and the tools to perform an initial agency self-assessment and achieve initial accreditation. (16-hour course) The cost for this workshop is only $125 per person.
"Reaccreditation Workshop" You've completed your initial process and you're accredited! Now what do you do? This class addresses the differences between initial accreditation and reaccreditation, file maintenance and construction, continuing proofs of compliance, and transitioning to new or amended standards. This course is best attended soon after the agency is accredited. (8-hour course) The cost for this workshop is only $75 per person.
